The goal of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program is to reduce the incidence of lead poisoning in children, youth and young adults in Calaveras County through education, information and referrals. The program coordinates with local medical providers to assure testing and treatment services are available and the source of lead exposure is assessed.
Who is eligible for program services?
Case management services are provided to children and youth who have elevated lead levels diagnosed by a medical provider.

Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Where are the services provided?
Public Health Department, 700 Mountain Ranch Road, Suite C-2 in San Andreas.
Lead screening and testing is done in the provider office or lab.
Is there a cost for the service?
There is no cost for the education, case management or information services.
